Coffee and solitude.
“I was having a coffee alone, and it tasted like shit, but it was lonely there, and I didn't like being with people. I was never one of them. I didn't hate them, but I was good when they were not around.
But this fellow, nowhere out of the blue, he was one of the snakes from all the other snakes of the same family. He sat in front of me and asked for a cup of coffee, and said, ‘how come you are here with no company?’
I said, ‘the price of not being with idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.’
He couldn't get it, so he stayed. Minutes later, I was out there searching for a new place to hang alone.”
